1. Information We Collect

Account Information

You can use PlayReels as an anonymous guest without providing personal details. If you create an account with email and password, or sign in with Google, we collect:

• Name and display name
• Email address
• A user ID associated with your account
• Profile picture (if provided by your Google account)

Guest sessions are also assigned a user ID so your likes, saves, and build credits work without an account.

Content You Submit

When you use our creation and community features, we collect and process:

• Game prompts you type for the AI game maker
• Photos and reference images you choose to upload for a build
• Games you build, post, or remix, and their titles and descriptions
• Comments, likes, and reports you submit on games

Usage and Device Information

When you use PlayReels, we automatically collect:

• App interactions, such as the games you play, like, skip, save, and search for, used to rank your feed
• Device or other identifiers, including the advertising ID used for ads and a device identifier used to prevent referral abuse (one referral redemption per device)
• Device information (model, operating system version)
• IP address, used for security, rate limiting, and by our advertising partner to derive approximate (city-level) location
• Diagnostics collected by the advertising SDK

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the game feed, the AI game maker, and your account
• Build playable games from the prompts and images you submit
• Personalize your feed and recommend games you may enjoy
• Publish the games you post and attribute them to your profile
• Serve advertisements, including rewarded ads that earn build credits
• Prevent fraud and abuse, including referral abuse and prompt misuse
• Analyze usage to improve the app
• Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations

3. Advertising and the Advertising ID

PlayReels is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob collects and shares your device's advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, ad interactions, and diagnostics with Google for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. Where required, we present a consent prompt (via Google's User Messaging Platform) that lets you choose whether you receive personalized ads. You can also reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.

4. AI-Generated Content

The AI game maker sends your prompt, and any reference image you attach, to our AI providers strictly to generate your game. Prompts are checked by automated moderation before generation, and disallowed prompts are blocked. Every game in the feed can be reported in-app (share sheet > Report); reported games are hidden pending review.

5. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services that may collect and process your data:

• Google AdMob: Serving ads and rewarded ads
• Google Sign-In: Optional account authentication
• Cloud hosting and storage: Delivering games and storing uploads
• AI providers: Processing prompts and reference images to build games

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between the app and our servers
• Secure, token-based authentication for account sessions
• Rate limiting and protection against malicious requests

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as described in this policy, including with our advertising and infrastructure providers, when required by law or valid legal process, to protect our rights and safety, or with your consent. Games, comments, and profile names you post are visible to other users by design.

You have the right to:

• Access and review your personal data
• Update or correct your profile information
• Delete your account and associated data in the app (Profile > Delete account) or at playreels.app/delete-account
• Choose whether to receive personalized ads via the consent prompt
• Reset or limit your advertising ID in device settings

9. Children's Privacy

PlayReels is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe we may have collected information from a child should contact us immediately.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. When you request deletion:

• Your account and associated profile data are deleted
• Games, prompts, uploads, and comments you submitted are removed from active systems
• Anonymized, aggregated analytics may be retained to improve the app
• Certain data may be retained as required by law

11. International Users

Our services rely on cloud infrastructure that may store and process data in various countries. By using PlayReels, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in those locations.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through in-app notifications. Your continued use of PlayReels after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
